Harnessing the innovation and energy of the new UltraBoost 5, we created a vibrant global retail campaign that reinvigorated the franchise and refuelled the running community’s love for the brand.

BUSINESS CHALLENGE

Since its groundbreaking debut in 2015, the UltraBoost franchise faced a sharp decline in market share and a significant reduction in sales due to a perceived lack of innovation. To launch the reimagined UltraBoost 5, we were tasked with creating a global retail toolkit that positioned it as the ultimate performance running shoe, focusing on the shoe’s key benefit – Energy Return.

OUR TRANSFORMATIVE IDEA

We created a vibrant world embodying the shoe’s innovation and light and energetic feel, encapsulated in the campaign message: ‘Ultra Energy, UltraBoost’. From innovative flagship displays and physical installations to window displays and digital content, the seamless retail experience amplified the energy of the campaign. With a winning start that created hype among adidas fans, our phased approach maintained momentum throughout the campaign, culminating in a winning finish that restored the UltraBoost’s reputation as the ultimate performance running shoe.
